What happens at your appointment?

 

  • A full assessment of your symptoms. 
  • Review of previous investigations and treatments. 
  • Examination of the affected area. 
  • Discussion of treatment options, including benefits and risks. 
  • If appropriate, the injection may be given during the same appointment. 
  • If further information is needed, or you would prefer another day, a follow-up appointment can be arranged.

What should I bring?

 

  • Any clinic letters 
  • Physiotherapy reports 
  • Scan or X-ray results (if available) 
  • A list of current medications 
  • Information about any allergies

  • Occasionally the injection may not provide significant benefit
